Dilution Air
The inclusion of high volumes of clean dilution air to an odor or moisture-laden emission can solve visual and code issues. Many HVAC designs require that fresh air intakes be located away from any possible contamination. By placing the process exhaust stream away from these intakes and adding dilution air, the design criteria can be achieved. Many locations require that exhaust stream plumes must rise 50 or more feet higher than any air supply connections. The dilution air concept works with high temperature or corrosive gas streams when a nyb fan and Venturi eductor is used as the primary air-moving device.
