will also recieve the ODBC Desktop Driver Pack
drivers. These drivers are included with the Windows
2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating
systems. The ODBC Desktop Driver Pack drivers
includes following files:
File Name Version Size

computers running Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft
Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0 does
includes the ODBC Desktop Driver Pack drivers but
does not completely install them. In order for the
ODBC drivers to be correctly registered on your
computer, you also need to install Microsoft Data
Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 or later. MDAC does not
include these driver files, but it includes the core
ODBC DLLs that are required to install and use the
drivers. You must install MDAC after Jet 4.0 SP8 for
it to correctly register these files.
Note The file size may vary
slightly. The file size depends on the version of
Windows that you run. The file version does not
change.
If you plan to use Jet Replication Manager with Jet
4.0 SP7 or later and you do not have Mstran40.exe
version 4.0.6508.0, you must also download and
install Jet4Repl.exe. For additional information

ACC2002: Access Quits Unexpectedly When Linked
Oracle Table Is Left Inactive
301915
Access Causes an Error When You Export Fields with
Data Type Single or Double to Oracle
Additionally, Jet 4.0 SP8 fixes the following past
problems:
- Performance problems occurred when certain
pass-through queries were run.
- Microsoft Access unexpectedly quit when you
tried to upsize a database where the tables
contained triggers.
Note This service pack prevents
Access from quitting. It does not permit you to
upsize tables with triggers.
- Invalid argument error message
occurred when you tried to create a linked table
by using DAO code after the installation of Jet
4.0 SP7.
- An access violation occurred when you ran
certain queries that used linked Paradox tables.
- Oracle integer field appeared as double in
Access.
- When you tried to create links to dBase files,
you received an access violation or nothing
occurred. That is, no link was created, and you
did not receive an error message.
- When you refreshed a linked table, you were
prompted to select a DSN even though you were
still using the same DSN, and all the connection
information was correct.
